Temperature on virtual Thermostat

I've just realised that the temperature showing on a virtual thermostat is not exactly what it is showing.

Sample:

I set the temperature to 20.96 and it shows 21.0 but if I check the temperature in a rule with

if temperature >= 21.0

then I get a FALSE. Which is correct because it was set to 20.96.

But I find it confusing if it is showing 21.0 and in fact it is only 20.96.

Can anybody confirm this? And what do you think about this?
