Eurotronic spirit thermostat

Martin Brinch Thomsen shared this thanks 16 months ago

I have used this thermostat with zipabox for a while now, and I'm not happy with its function. I add it to a viatuel thermostat with an external thermometer. However, it seems that the zipabox does only pass the setpoint temperature along and nothing else. The valves seems to live their very own life from there on. Is there anybody who has any suggestions on how to get more of these valves. I've seen something about direct valve control but can not figure out to put the valves in this mode. Hope there is someone who can help. regards Martin

With the latest beta fw you can put the valve in manual control (previously was not possible),and it works.

When you add the valve you find two devices, "Thermostat modes" and manual valve control. In thermostat mode you will find now the manual control mode.

The virtual thermostat pass only the setpoint, you are right, and the valve works with its own logic. Anyway the valve let you to use an external temperature instead its own sensor (param 8, value 128).. so you can associate a device with the valve and use this temperature. Actually I'm unable to get it working, but I only need to understend how to do it, I suppose :)

If the developers had taught Zipabox to send a z-wave package to the Spirit in the format it needs, then it would be possible to proceed as in OpenHUB.

P.S. Developers, make it possible from RuleCreater to send z-wave customizable packet

Zipato team!

Please, teach zipabox to send temperature from an external sensor to Spirit
