Hi,

In order to get help from official Zipato support, please submit a ticket with the Serial Number of your controller.

Kind regards!

I also have the same problem, I can not control any devices for three days, the support always tinkers and does not get it to run, I'm terribly disappointed!

Same here. Got frequent reboots with old firmware. Opened a support ticket. They told me to make a hard reset. Then they did something on the box and asked me to upgrade to 1.3.60. Now everything is blocked. No lights, no sensors, no rules, no nothing. The box shows as "online" and has a steady green light. The app and the web interface connect, but cannot do anything.

Same for me.

I asked the support to solve a problem with one of my device. Then they asked me to do a hard reset. After that, none of my device are working. I can't control anymore any device.

So it seems to be a general issue. As usual with Zipato ! :-(

Hope the support will solve this big problem very soone !

After a hard reset you have to raise a ticket again. They will help you (Support helped me whithin 1 or 2 hours)

I have raised a ticket, and here their answer:

"If you think you need additional support, there is System check up service: https://www.zipato.com/product/srvc-chk-up ."

The person who answer that to me is Paula Kokić

And she closed the ticket ! @Sebastian you should check some of your employe behaviour ... If this Paula was working for me I would have fired her immediatly for that kind of answer !

Why should I pay for a service if Zipato does not get the system running again after an update?

Open a new ticket with subject: Urgent: Zipaxxxxx down after firmwareupgrade

ZWNTUT finds all the devices that are connected to the box, but I can not control a device, the box continues to flash green and blue. In the Livelog I see only entries of the weather station.

Hi, All.

Does anyone have normally working system with new firmware 1.3.60 after upgrade ;) ?

photo

Yes,

I have. Not happy about the changes in virtual devices (all endpoints different uuid's etc) But all the same: the box is working and doing its job (configuration: z-wave, zigbee, 433mhz, virtual).

If something is not working: raise a ticket. I did and support was within 1 or 2 hours.

Nope

Mine was working but just this afternoon it's went offline (unknown Cloud connection issue) and none of the Z-Wave devices are working.

Mine works now. Except I did (again) loose functionality of all 16 of my Somfy shutter blinds (433 MHz). This is the third time in two years that this happened after firmware updates. Very annoying. I hope somebody can fix this soon.

If you want a real 1.3.60 horror story: here it comes.

With Zipabox 1 (ZP1) i did an upgrade to 1.3.60. As many: i encountered many problems so at the end i decided to downgrade to the last offical firmware. ZP1 did not like it and did not reboot.

I raised a ticket. First time there was some succes. Second ticket: the box was borken. The blue light stays on. The box did not reboot. Support said: Technical hardware failure. Yes, could be, but i doubt it.

But having the box for more than 5 years i decided that it was time for Zipabox 2 (ZP2). And then the horor story starts.

I had a PRO license and made my backups. However support told me that a backup could only be transfered to a simular architecture (so ZP1->ZP1, ZP2->ZP2, ZPTile to ZPTile). No way to transfer the stuff.

There I was with appr 60 devices and appr 40 rules. Can you imagine the process of including 60 devices again? And recreating 40 rules? I took a very very deep breath.

After powering up ZP2 I had some hardware extension problems (433Mhz, Zigbee and Z-wave). After a while it seems to stabilize. So currently running with 433 MHZ and Zigbee. Try Z-wave later on (For ZP1 users remember that with ZP2 this is now an extension).

It was not possible to transfer my PRO license to my new serial number. I think this is a bit stupid because the old serial is broken. But hey: Zipato has to earn some money too, so i took a look in the store: the PRO license is gone and replaced with all other kind of stuff. Correction: it suddenly reappeared in the list: magic!

It is sunday morning, i am going to take my cop of coffee and i am thinking what to do next. 1 Fortunate thing: I did not use ZP1 for critical stuff: Alarm and heating are on different networks and seperate (non-Zipato) controllers.

Happy sunday!

John,

You had some hardware problems with you extension modules, but managed to stabilize it. What dit you do? I have the same problems with the P1-, Power- and 433 MHz-modules: They aren't visible in the module manager. The Power module is, but is not accessible.

I also dit switch from the V1 to the V2.

Thanks.

Hi Sake,

I did many things, so not sure what did the trick. But ZP2 has some kind of networkextension problem. I my case I saw only the Virtual and Intern networks. Not sure wheter i saw Z-wave thing.

What i did:

Unplug all the extensions. Then a factory reset (in the desktop). That clear all the configuration but does not reset the firmware. Still 1.3.60. With the aid of the API I i returned to 1.3.50 (POST->Firmware->serial->id. the id can you find under Get->Firmware (i think the beta one). After that i did not upgrade but did a factory reset.

Then as an experiment i created a virtual weatherstation and that worked. Upgraded to 1.3.60 and the weatherstation was still working. Then I plugged in the 433-mhz extension (after power down). After a while (not directly) this extension was shown and i could add a 433 MHZ device. Power down again and added the Zigbee extension. Same story. t the end I had: intern, Virtual, Zwave, Zigbee and 433 Mhz (odd thing: Zwave without the Zwave extension plugged in) Ip and IP backup still mssing.

At a certain moment they also reappeared. When, i don't know.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. I will keep this in mind.

Just before my first comment, I made a ticket at the support. Hopefully they will answer and solve the problem so I don't have to configure it all again.

As you did answer, you don't know exactly what you did, so there is a kind of risk.

I'm seeing the Z-wave so something is working!

But thanks again

I had to completely reset my factory settings, then several times a hard reset and update the firmware. When she ran with the 1.3.60 I was able to create all devices and rules nine. The support has pushed it to my internet connection, but why should the update to the new firmware change anything on my internet connection? I'm totally disappointed with the support, the entire weekend I spent with reconfiguring. But now all licenses are missing in the box!I think I will switch to IOBROKER.

I honestly get the feeling that they are not able or willing to provide a proper upgrade path to Zipabox 2. Every time I mention the issue they get evasive. It's a great way to lose customers, because when they feel pressure to upgrade, it's no harder to look at other platforms than to redo everything on a new Zipabox.
