somfy mylink with zipamicro

Fsolo23 shared this thanks 5 months ago

Control4 works with somfy mylink, with specific drivers provided in this page https://www.somfysystems.com/smart-home/control4

also similar to how alexa connects to mylink (to an extent) or maybe connect zipamicro to alexa to mylink, not sure if anyone has attempted to perform such a hook

is there anything like that or anyway of connecting zipamicro to somfy mylink, instead of the somfy zrts device.

Thank you

You can read this topic for integration Control4 https://community.zipato.com/topic/zipato-control4-driver

You should use Zipabox for control Somfy Rts devices Zipamicro is not suitable for this solution. Zipabox + 433Mhz product can add Somfy RTS product ( blind, plug or etc)

thanks for the info, its good to know that there is a way to integrate with control4. . I guess I was looking to see if there is anything to integrate zipamicro with somfy mylink directly, similar to what has been done with control4. maybe someone has run wireshark and looked at the actual commands sent to somfy mylink or has the api that causes the whole launch to happen. since we have http request option that can be programmed.

since I'm still a hobbyist and this is my first device, I don't have access to a control4 module.

but if anyone has done the integration with zipabox and 433 module would like to see the rule and maybe a video in action, before i go down the path of investing in that. since somfy has a zrts device.

Looks like there is an API for mylink that can now be used, its a json argument that you can pass once you connect to the IP and port of the somfy. I tested it from command line and it works. is there a way to integrate this into rules?
