ZipaTile Alexa unable to link.

I am trying to enable Zipato Skill for amazon Alexa. when I add the skill in Amazon I get the following error message: We were unable to like Zipato SmartHome at this time. Please try again later.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try logging in to auth.zipato.com, revoke your token access there and try linking the skill again.

It seems to work for some people.

I have the same problem. I disconnected my zipato Skill in Amazon. Now I want to connect it again, but it don't work.

Same here. I just got a dot and I'm getting the same error. The difference is that I'm trying to link to the regular controller, not the tile.

Same issue here - cannot link Zipato skill.

Been in contact with Amazon support staff - very responsive and helpful btw.

They cannot locate any issues in their end of the linking.

... still no word from Zipato

I also still have that problem. Smarthome skills are connected but all devices connected to the zipabox are shown as offline. Sonos can be controlled by alexa... I haven´t asked Amazon, but I got word from Ziapto team:

we were checking and we don't get any request from your IP address to our alexa.zipato.com. Maybe you have some firewall or something?

But I haven´t changed anything and as mentioned: Sonos can be controlled via alexa (they are not linked to Zipato)

We are checking it out, if its a problem on our end we will find it and resolve it quickly.If its a problem on Amazons end, we'll have to wait a bit for their response.

I spent 2 hours with 3. level support at Amazon - without any progress in their end. Still not working and still same (VERY NON-INFORMATIVE) error message: "We were unable to link Zipato SmartHome at this time."

Impressive patience from Amazon support side. I was the one who gave up.

I can choose my zipatobox, but after I enter allow I got the same message:(

I got this answer from Zipato support today:


"We are currently experiencing issues with Amazons Alexa API.

Team is already working on it, and it should be resolved quickly.

Once the service is available again, we will inform you.

"

I did not find any token for Alexa so I just tried to link it again and now it works.

Hi Vedran, what do you recommend if there is no token at all? The skill is linked but all devices are shown as offline. ;-(

If there is no token, the skill really isn't linked or at least not linked properly. It has no authorization to access your box and will most likely be denied by the server. I'd suggest you try to disable the skill and forget all devices. After that link the Alexa again, and generate a fresh token by linking them together. It should fix the display.

Hi Vedran, this time this did the trick. Alexa works again. But it would be nice to know what caused that problem.

Thank you Zipato!

I did not have any access tokens to revoke but I was able to link with Alexa now!

I did not do anything but go to amazon and try to link again.
