diferent value in browser/app

Hi. i have a variable that i have give tha value 0.00 and adds 0.01 every minut. This works fine in the browser but in my iphone app the value is 0.009999946. I tried to give the variable valus in whole numbers 1,2,3 and then dived it by 100 but i still got the same problem. why is that? and is there anyway to correct this?
