How to test THERMOSTAT_MODE value ?

Dear support,
I have a Qubino ZMNHIA2 thermostat module changing its mode to AUTO erraticly in the middle of the night without any reason. I'd like to implement some "security" to switch it off by testing this state, but I do not find any device attribute in puzzle (Sensor or meter).
Is there a way to retrieve and test this value ?
