Sound output - General I-O-Device

Under Consideration

I really like the zipabox! But there are two devices I miss on every house automation system (or haven´t found them by now):

1. I would like to see an affordable speaker which can play predefined messages (e.g. "Hi Mum, it´s 22:00 and you still have your doors open", "Alarm is set to away" and so on. Doesn´t anyone else miss such a device?

2. A general I/O device with a lot of Input / Output chanels. This could be useful for building a statusboard next to the door to see the state of the alarm (e.g. Green off, orange Home, red armed; status of lights still on) and to switch off those lights. Right now I think of using the rgbw controller but that only gives me four status LED and no chance to switch something off. Or even better: Throw such a Device into the market! For example with 16 rgb LED and 16 programmable buttons. I´ll be the first to buy this ;-) (Homeatic has such a device but without the possibility of a back channel and you have to push a button to activate it. So please make a better one.
