Wanted: An new piece that is the opposite of Join

David Pritchard shared this idea 7 years ago
Under Consideration

There are cases where I'd like a piece that does the opposite of "join". In other words, rather than "stop all other executions of this rule and proceed", it would mean "stop if this rule is already executing". You might call it "exclusive" or "mutex" or "Single instance", I don't know.

For example, I have a rule that controls my blinds, and it has several different triggers. Sometimes that can result in the rule executing several times in parallel, which makes no sense. I'm trying to control this with variables, but a piece with this particular function would be nice.
