Hello,

I was wondering is there some technical or physical limits to what color can i get from zipato rgbw 2 bulbs?

For example, in app i wrote hex #9D2235. For the moment it shows correct color and then jumps to #ff0027.

Hi

in Zipato platform, RGB color code is convert to HSL code with Saturation set to 1 (100%) and Lightness set to 0.5 (50%).

In your case hex code #9D2235 is converted to RGB(157,34,53).

When RGB code is converted to HSL (with s=1 and L=0.5) it results in HSL=351, 1, 0.5 which is equal to RGB(255,0,38) i.e. hex#FF0027.

So, if you want to set any color by hex input, keep in mind this convertion from RGB to HSL.

RGB slider defines color limits which can be converted to HSL and send to bulb.

That's what i thought- that saturation and/or lightness is constant.

Thanks for clarification.
