Firmware Update Fails (from 0.0.999.2a auf latest 0.9.999.8)

I got a zipato box with 0.9.999.2a and my.zipato offeres an update. however every update attempt ends in two reboots and comes back with the old firmware 0.9.999.2a

Same issue. Normally the firmware upgrade just times out.
But once, it reported a successful update. But then checking the firmware, it was still the old one...
