Infrared floor temp sensor
Need Answer
I am looking for an infrared temperature sensor, to keep track of floor temp. Anyone know of such a device, that would work with Zipato?
I am fairly new at this. I am looking at this one; http://products.danfoss.com/productdetail/heatingsolutions/floor-heating-hydronics/room-controls/cf2-wireless-floor-heating-and-cooling-control-system/088u0215/#/
But not sure if it would be able to report floor temp back to Zipato. Anyone?

Hi. It is a far fetched solution, which i haven't tested myself, but it probably will work...
You can use any industrial type infrared temperature transmitter that is sending out a 4-20mA analog signal. This signal can then be read by, for instance, the Fibaro RGBW Controller and let the Fibaro unit convert the analog reading to a z-wave signal.
Converting the 4-20mA to the 0-10V Fibaro input is done by connection a 500 ohm resistor across the Fibaro input.
The reading will be probably have a reading proportional with the range of the termo transmitter. For example, if the range for the transmitter is -50 - +100degC, then 2V will mean -50C and 10V will mean +100C.
Converting the voltage reading to temperature can be done in a rule block that takes Fibaro reading as input and writing the output to a virtual termometer.
