Zipatile will not connect to Wifi router
Completed
My Zipatile will not connect to my Wifi-router - I see the network, enter the password and it tries, but then just writes "Saved". If I set up a Wifi-hotspot on my phone, it works fine.
I have tried:
- Wifi-off-on
- Reboot
- "Forget" the Wifi network and re-enter the password (normal number/letters)
- WPS function - it searches but can't find anything
- It's a normal 2.4G Wifi network - works with my other Android devices/Chromecast/light bulbs and whatever.
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
Hi,
Here are few thoughts:
Try and connect with UTP cable directly (just for test). If it works then check:
Hope it helps.

Marko

Have you figured it out?
I'm having the same problem...
Coincidentally, I was changing my router from a TP-link Archer C5 to a Asus RT-AX58U when I tried to install my Zipatile. I experience the issue on both devices. The Zipatile does connect to my tethering Samsung S9 instantaneously though.
I already disabled Wifi 6 but that didn't seem to work...

Zipatile connects to a phone hotspot but not your router, it’s likely a compatibility or security setting issue on your Wi-Fi router rather than the Zipatile itself.
Here are a few things you can try:
1 Check Router Security Settings
Some routers block new devices if MAC address filtering is enabled. Try disabling it or adding your Zipatile’s MAC address manually.
If your router is using WPA3 security, switch it to WPA2-PSK (AES) instead—some older devices struggle with WPA3.
2 Change Your Wi-Fi Channel
Your router might be on a congested channel. Try setting it to a fixed channel (1, 6, or 11) instead of auto-selecting.
3 Verify IP Settings
Log into your router (for Verizon Fios users, you can access settings following the process at myfiosgateway.com and check if your device is being assigned an IP.
Try setting a static IP on Zipatile instead of DHCP.
4 Router Firmware Update
If your router's firmware is outdated, update it—sometimes, compatibility issues are fixed in newer versions.
Since it works on a hotspot, it’s almost certainly something in the router settings.
