Device Inclusion with the Mobile App

Bernd shared this problem 2 years ago

Hi community

by now I mainly worked with the web UI.

Zipato now says that the main thing to administrate private systems the IOS App should be (in case of an iPhone)

When I try to add a new device to my master server I get six possible networks:

EnOcean (which is not working) and

When I go to the web UI I see a lot more e.g. Sonos, KNX, MQTT (which up to now is not working with a ZipaTile 2) of course virtual devices and so on and so on.

How can I add such devices in the app???

The new web UI in the // site does not allow any device additions, no scene creation or adjustment.

Right now the old webapp2 seems to me much more powerful or did anyone manage to include e.g. a philips hue lamp via mobile app?

Hello Bernd,

I have same problem.

On the App Mobile , you have very few choices of protocol.

I tend to say : only those that are actually more or less currently supported by V3 Zipato portal.

Indeed ZipaTile support only these networks protocols:

  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Ethernet (with optional adapter)
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Philips Hue
  • Sonos
  • Nest
  • Z-Wave+ 500 series
  • ZigBee HA

and can't use for example EnOcean.

It can be used with ZIPABOX2 if you have an extension module.

Currently Philips Hue is not supported by V3 Zipato Platform. Some tickets are open, and they promise for next release.

For the scene creation on app mobile, you can through dashboard... scene ... see all.. and you habe the + button.
