Zipamicro, Zipabox1and V3?

If i'll buy Zipamicro, can i use my old Zipabox1 as usual? It can be slave controller, if i understand correctly. Now that old one start to have too much problems.
Otherwise, if i would be smart, the best option would be to get rid of Zipato. But it is hard to find even nearly compatible solution, it needs almost every device replacing. But it is really the option.
