MCE remote for Zipamini

Hi,
I recently bought a Zipamini for testing purposes for my webshop, but unfortunately my 10 months golden retriever thought it was great to chew the remote for it into millions of pieces. Therefore I would like to ask if it is possible in any way to connect a universal remote to it? The one I bought is a One for All remote from http://www.simpleset.com

Workaround for your problem may be using a USB wireless mouse. And you can always turn Zipamini on or off by plugging/unplugging power cord.

Thanks for your input. USB wireless mouse sounds like the optimal solution (unless a MCE remote isn't an option) as I am testing the possibilites to use the Zipamini unit for home automation as well as media streaming (via PLEX).
