3G module and SMS

Hi guys,

I wrote to Zipato about this idea a few months ago, but still they have a lot other work to do.

I am opening this discussion just to see what other users think about it.

Since i own an internet USB stick from my GSM provider with 2.5 GB per month, and i have the Zipato 3G module, why not using the SIM card with the internet to send SMS trough the 3G module in case of emergency? My Internet stick does that, and i am pretty sure that the 3G module can do that either. It is a matter of software changes to the Zipabox's software, am i right?

A simple $50 Chinese alarm can send SMS trough a SIM card, why not this expensive 3G module can not?

What is your opinion guys?
