Associating or binding motion sensor and dimmer
Hi,
I have set up the rule for having lights turn on when you enter the room.
My set up:
Zipabox (in the sitting room in a cupboard with other equipment incl. router, A/V stuff)
Fibaro FGD211 dimmer (in the kitchen)
Fibaro FGMS-001 motion sensor (in the kitchen)
The rule works well most of the time but only consistently works 100% of the time if I take the Zipabox out of the cupboard. What I want to do is create an association between the two devices, binding them so that they talk to each other without involving the Zipabox, then I can keep the Zipabox in the cupboard. I have tried this (using the old dashboard under the bindings tab) but I don't think it works. Do I need to check the 'native binding' option?
Is this association even possible with the two devices?
If it is, in principle can I test this by turning off the Zipabox and still expect the motion sensor and dimmer to work?
Final point that sort of relates to this - Why is it possible to see binding tab in the old dashboard and not in the new one?
