You must change "E-Mail" to "Push" in the top of "send message"-configuration...

Yes, I understand that :) But do I need to do any other configuration to make it work? Do I need to install some other application on my smartphone?

The Zipato App must be installed on the Smartphone :-)

Ok, and thats it? I just tried to change that but it didn't seem to work. I will give it another try.

I made a rule that should push a message when a sensor indicates movements. I have the zipato app installed and I can communicate with my zipato. But it don't get any notifications even if I see that the sensor indicate movments.

Hi at all! I have the same issue. I use a Vision garage door sensor that work properly with email notification when door is open/close. But since I changed notification mode from email to push, I didn't receive any notification.

Same here. I receive emails, but no push- and SMS-messages at all..... is there any documentation about?

I think a 3. party service like Pushover is better. I use it for many different things also for other stuff than Zipato. It is possible to send push messages with different priorty (like alarms that needs to be confirmed), diffent sounds, force loud alert sounds, use http links, custom images and more.

You will have to call it with a http request from your rules.

Just my 2 cents...

I agree with Marius: Pushover is better.

Ok, thanks. Could you show me an example of how a http request to pushover looks like?

I ment, how I should configure the http request in zipato.

For possible parameters, check https://pushover.net/api

Remember to URL encode any special characters in title and message strings: http://www.url-encode-decode.com/

Is that configuration working for you? I have tried it but it didn't work. I can make it work by using https://api.pushover.net/1/messages.json? and then all the options directly in the url.

But I think it looks much cleaner and nicer your way. Suggestions what I do wrong?

Yes, it is working. I just translated the message to English, otherwise is is identical to a working message. Did you remember to use POST? To use the body part for parameters, you need to use POST not GET.

Hello, thanks for help. I did use POST but it didn't work, I got it working now if I put all the options in one line (even in the body box). It is much better but it had been nicer to be able to have one option per line, as it looks like you have. I don't understand why it doesn't work for me but at least it work now. Thanks again!!

I am actually using one single line without line breaks. It is just the view that splits it at the '&' character somehow. Might be the browser (Firefox).

If I resize the HTTP request window to be wider, the line snaps in place and is shown as one single line.

Hello guys,

as already explained you need to select Push in a send message puzzle and be logged in the Zipato app to receive a push notification. It is a good idea to double check if you have entered the correct phone number with your country calling code. Also please check if the notifications for the app are turned On and just in case check if sync of your apps on your phone is turned On, it is by default but you never know.

You can also check this article in our knowledgebase - Receive push notifications via PushingBox and Newtifry

Thanks a lot for a useful hint Anonymous, it works for me!

In my case, the phone number was crucial.

Thomas, the settings for notification from app's is under Android settings. Check the settings for Zipato app.
