If I want to resell my Zipabox (for example to switch to a Zipatile) is it sufficient to factory reset and then "clear owner"? Are there any other steps needed to ensure a new owner would not have problems setting up the Zipabox?

You can do that but as you suggested it is enough. Once you completely reset the box and then you do a clear owner it logs you out and the box SN is freed up again.

Yes, it should be enough to just do a factory reset and clear owner afterwards.
