Status on the IOS app?

Zipato Team,

What's the status on the long awaited new IOS app?

It's been on the "soon to come" list for more than a year and still no news or final launch date.

The old is probably THE WORST smart home app out there.

Hello Thomas,

Since we started our new app from scratch it takes time. Also we reworked our UI and this led to further delays since we want to have uniformity on all platforms.

I cannot tell you the exact date but we expect it to be finished in Q2 2018. I cannot provide you with a more precise time frame at the moment unfortunately.

Best regards,

Mislav

So Q2 2019 then? Its only been 2 years now since android app was updated. And now the Zipatile UI has changed again. But still no ios app update. I simply cant believe this isn't in Zipatos top 3 priority tasks, but the new Zipatile UI was.

Even the Android app back then took 6 months of community support to help get it ready for release. Will there be a Google+ community group to help with the ios app development? Or will zipato just release it like the new Zipatile UI and dont care if it works properly?

Muriel did wonders with this community, though at time I think it gave him a headache. But at least we got most of the bugs out before release. I'll add this to the list with Google Home support then shall I.....................

I understand that after long development people are impatient but I can only give you information from our development team and software development is such a beast that you have expected dates, not fixed ones unfortunately.

You can release a half finished product but in that case the result would be even more dissatisfaction.

So as I said before, target date is beginning of Q2 2018 and we hope there will be no serious delays.

The actual iOS app has some bugs, and don’t let change color or dimming Philips Hue bulbs... it’s really a shame :(

I agree that when it comes to software development, it's definitely not the easiest task, but if you work with reliable specialists, you have much more than just expected dates. I used to work with urancompany.com for some time, and I can say that these developers managed to provide the best solution for my business right on time, so it actually depends on the specialists.

Often mobile app developers offer mobile app development services from scratch. I needed services to improve an existing application with which I have been working for quite some time. It's good that there is an opportunity to hire mobile app developers to improve the application and add new effective features.

I can say that in my case, developing an app wasn't the hardest aspect, it didn't take me long to find reliable specialists, but I did have problems with in-app purchases. Eventually, I managed to discover https://adapty.io/blog/designing-effective-paywalls-for-mobile-apps/, and it helped me provide users with personalized offers, so it was a real salvation for me.
