Again Cloud problems ?

Guys,

now it is really getting boring.

19 devices offline, 6 devices with problems

heating doesn´t work, lights don´t shine

That is not the way a smart home should work.

And - please - don´t tell me something about for-free-solution.

You don´t have your cloud under control and the cloud is an essential part of the whole system.

Please get your things done asap

Hello Bernd,

Apologies for the inconvenience, cloud service is running without any issues at the moment. For how long have your devices been shown as "Offline"?

Hey Ivan,

recognized it this evening when

a) bathroom stayed cold although Zipatile shows 24 °C as should be

b) all lights in the house stayed off although it was completely dark already

c) no motion sensors switch the lights they should.

Then looked inside the web UI and saw that meanwhile 20 devices were off and 9 have problems.

This is the same behaviour as I know when the cloud is down

Could someone explain why some devices are not working when cloud fails ? Today I had the same problem, all my Danfoss heating valves bacame offline,.. this should not happen as in theory are not using cloud.

A clarification is welcome

Hey Ivan,

problem is solved by a complete restart of the Zipatile´s Android system.

By now I only restarted the controller but obviously the whole OS had to be resetted.

One by one devices came back online and also the rules are again executed.

I know this behavior. My Zipatile works about 5-7 days without problems.

Then suddenly many devices are shown as offline.

The Zipatile is then no longer accessible via the app or the web.

Rules are no longer executed.

After a restart of the Zipatile everything works again.

Even the Zipato support could not eliminate the error.

He referred me to version V3. V3 should not have this problem anymore.

But the change from V2 to V3 is too risky for me at the moment.

So I have no choice but to remember to restart the Zipatile regularly.

I use a Zipabox V1 at the same time. The box does not show this behaviour.
