Alarm Email

Need Answer

Hi All,

I am new to Zipato. My system currently has

1. Zipatile

2. 2 x Fibaro Dimmers

3. 1 x Flood Sensor (Fibaro)

4. 1 x Wall Plug (Fibaro)

All this is working as i want it. I have not yet started playing with rules or alarm functions etc, but last night at 1pm.I got this email:-

Message: tripped

Partition: System

Armed: HOME

Tripped: true

TripType: MAINS_FAULT

Zone: Mains power

Zone UUID: 61ba9af8-6d7a-418a-922c-1a66dd912967

Endpoint: Mains Power State

Attribute: STATE

State: MAINS_FAULT

And an automated call at 1am asking me to press 1 to acknowledge!

I tried to find the the device with the UUID but i dont have one. As i said i have not set any alarm functions & from what i can see i have set all the alarm functions at the default setting which is the maintenance setting. And the important thing here is nothing has tripped! What am i missing here? Be grateful if any one can help me on this. Thanks

Thanks Attila,

It did not though! Also i did not set it to send an email/call me if it did. Is this is a native setting?

Hi Vimal,

"Mains power" is a zone inside System partition, and each time you disconnect the power supply from your ZipaTile this partition will be tripped and you will receive an email and a phone call.

This partition, together with Safety, Elderly Care and Intruder partitions, is created in the wizard which starts after you register the ZipaTile. Safety and System partitions are armed by default, while Elderly Care and Intruder partitions you need to arm manually.

Besides "Mains power", System partition includes "Cloud status" zone, which will trip the partition when ZipaTile loses connection with the cloud (look at the image attached).

There are two ways of avoiding scenario of receiving calls and emails when power supply is OFF:

1. Delete the "Mains power" zone (not so good solution)

2. Deactivate System partition (this is better solution, but in this case you also won't receive notification when you lose internet connection)

Enjoy using your ZipaTile!

Best regards,

Branislav

Hi Branislav,

Thank You! Really clear answer.

I just have one more thing to clarify-when you say "disconnect the Zipatile from the mains" then it seems a bit point less there is a charger port! So am i right in saying Zipato wants the end user to have the unit plugged in all times/ installed on the wall?

Thanks again for taking time to reply!

Evidently yes. Whats the point of not having this unit installed on the wall/powered by the mains? There is no gateway that does handle work without the mains...The fact that it has a battery that will allow it to work for a while even after disconnected from the mains is just an added feature, that noone else has (yet).

Hi Vimal,

Where did I say "disconnect the ZipaTile from the mains"?

The answer to your question is - yes, ZipaTile should be connected to the power charger preferably all the time. Because battery life without power supply is 30-60 minutes, depending on how you use it.

Branislav
