android widget refresh

Hi,

I have a problem with the android switch widget.

When I Toggle the switch widget on my phone to "On", a rule starts. At the end of the rule I automatically toggle the state of the virtual switch to "Off". Nevertheless on my phone the widget still shows that it is "On". Only when I tap the widget again, it refreshes and then I see the correct state of the virtual switch (Off).

Is there a possibility to trigger an automatic refresh of the widgets in order to always display the correct state?

i have same question. I wanted to ask, how often the widget do refresh.

Second question, i noticed that since last android update, the required android version is 4.2, before it was 4.1. I use on old tablet as dashboard and I cannot upgrade to 4.2 :( Is this setting in play store correct?

Hello Martin,

This issue has been reported to our developers. I will comment on this thread when we have some information.

I would not worry about android version as long as the application works.

Mislav, thank you for investigating the problem. It seems that the widget refreshes very rare.

Android version: because the required Android version has changed to 4.2, I cannot upgrade Zipato app on the tablet. So it doesn't "work".

OK, will check, however this android version is over 5 years old so I think it's time to think about an upgrade.

You can also try a custom ROM on your tablet with a higher android version so you do not have to buy new hardware.

i already have a custom ROM on it :) i just wanted to know if the required version is correct in play. If yes, i fully understand, and will have to stay on latest version or buy a new tablet.

Yes, developer has confirmed that 4.2 is needed.

i would like to return to my first question, how often the widget do refresh? this one is still unanswered.

Regrading the refresh question it is constantly refreshing, in the case of this topic there is a bug where the widget doesn't refresh until the user "wakes" the widget.

We are working on resolving this bug in a future version of the app.
