Announcement - Unofficial Zipato Wiki

Under Consideration

Hi All,

I wanted to announce my little side project: the Unofficial Zipato Wiki.

The goal of this resource is to build a permanent library of devices and undocumented integrations with the Zipato ecosystem.

There are many great discussions happening on this forum, but many of them disappear in the archives. I also find it generally difficult to find verified information on device compatibility -- with your help, I hope we can build a solid repository.

Feel free to share your feedback either through here or the Wiki site.

@Martin - no need to register. You can comment on a post without creating an account. The upvoting feature will push the most useful comment to the top.

how does this work? When I click on the device compatibility link, it just shows a whole list of devices. Do we need to comment on a device whether it is supported or not?

Thanks

@Darkwing - you have 2 options: once you locate the device you want to share your experience with (search is easiest), you can 1) comment on the bottom of the post (no account needed) or 2) edit the post itself in which case you will need to create a new wiki account. Hope this helps.

Thanks Arski. Hopefully we can get some Zipato engineers to register and add to the list also.......................................

Big thanks from all of us for getting this started.

I'm considering adding a simple voting feature to each device post on the Wiki. Something that would allow users to indicate whether the device: 1) Works 2) Sometimes Works 3) Does not work.

Is it safe to assume that device compatibility is the same for all Zipato controllers (box, mini and tile) or might it work for, let's say, the ZipaTike but not the Zipamini?

Good idea. All controllers should be the same in terms of Z-wave. But might be a good idea to have separate votes for other protocols. Dont want someone buying an Enocean sensor then saying it doesnt work with the Zipatile.

I have spoken to Qubino technical guys, who have tested their On/Off and PWM thermostats with Zipabox (fully working) and asked them to test it with Zipatile. They confirmed that at initial test they were not able to get the thermostats fully working with Zipatile so perhaps there might be a difference as the end.
