I am looking for an entension cable to extend the zwave antenna outside of the metal fuse box. His long an extension can be used? Will something like this work?

There have bin a discussion about this before. But Zipato strongly recommend not to use any kind of cables or antennas to the box. You should ask zipato buy a ticket what to use.
I do not se any problems with adding a cable but that is just me.

The thing is, the zipabox is shown in many instances as being in the same panel as the other electrical equipment. These panels are usually metal. Wireless signals don't penetrate metal that well. There has to be something in place to extend your physical wireless antenna outside of the metal panels. Anyway, I have already sent an email to their support team but have not received a response. I find that they do not answer all questions in a timely manner unfortunately. Even a "we are not sure and will have to get back to you by SOME-DATE" response would be better than silence.
