Help with a rule!

I want the alarm to get activated when I lock my door (Danalock). I want my door sensor to recognize if I have opened the door recently. So the alarm not become enabled when I lock the door when I´m inside the house.

Marcus,

Let me see if I understand you correctly. You want an alarm that gets armed when you lock your door from the outside, and disarm when you unlock from the outside. Also when you arm the lock from the inside the alarm should remain disarmed?

When do you need the alarm to trip (sound)? is that only when someone opens the door without using the password?

Albertos has some good questions. It would be more than useful to know if the lock was locked from inside or outside, but as I dont have smart lock experience I have no idea if this is possible or not.

Anyway find a sample rule. In this rule if you open the door, it will wait 2 hours (time can be changed as per request) before will consider that if you lock the door, it will arm or not but it will not really work, because when you leave home, you open the door...perhaps it would be better to set up the inhouse entry motion sensor and set up the rule that if the door is locked and there was already motion it means that you were leaving the house and can arm, however if there was no motion then it will not do anything as you probably arrived to an armed house.

Attila,

I have worked on Auto Disarm and Auto Arm functions and have Yale smart locks, these locks have events specific to lock/unlock using user's password or you can interrogate the controller for generic attributes, in the attached screenshot you can see the three generic attributes (don't really understand why there is a any attribute, to me it should be only an event) these will be true every time you open or close the door accordingly every time, regardless if you used the password or lock it from the inside.

On the events you can see how each user has two events, Home and Away (which are not related to alarm HOME and AWAY mode, home in the Yale lock means that it was locked and you used your password to unlocked, away means that you used your password to lock it). You can use these events to arm/disarm your alarm either using rules or configure them on you virtual alarm (see second picture), so when I lock the door from the inside these events won't trigger and my alarm won't be armed (I use a different approach to auto arm home), the system only gets armed when I lock from the outside using my password.

I even created an auto lock (without arming) feature based on schedule, so for example, if I leave home but someone remains at home and I want the door to be locked from 10 pm to 8 am, I don't have to create separate passwords to lock arming and lock without arming. If you guys want me to share my auto arm/disarm setups please let me know.

Hi Alberto. I have a Yale Lock with z-wave module version 1, and I would like to know what did you do to get all those attributes, because I don't have any of them. The only attribute that states the las operation of the lock is "ALARM_V1" from the cluster "Alarm V1 Notifications" insider de Lock's endpoint.
