Backup module configuration
Need Answer
I often visit this forum, looking for informations about the right way to manage the backup module I installed on my Zipabox.
I meet some questions about this topic but I couldn't find any complete explanation, for example about the way to receive a notification in case of power fault.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work

Hey HeroS,
"Backup Module Battery" ? How did you get that? I have a Zipato backup module but don't see that option.

Well, after some other tests (unusefull), I tried to set this values for the backup module (mine includes the battery) but nothing changed.
When power goes down no notification is sent.
I don't find any "Backup Module Battery" object inside the rule creator.

You need to have the meters in the device management, like this:
Then you will have the devices in the rule creator under Meters section:
Now you can use them in your rule, here I get a push message and email when the battery is getting below 10%.
Then I know that the box is going down soon.
this rule monitors the temperature. If the temp. in my equipment room is getting too high.
you can also experiment with the status of the module, but I did not test it myself yet:
