Can't find the On Button

Need Answer

I just got my Zipato set up and added 4 light switches to start so I could learn the system and the rule creator. I'm trying to create a rule that turns on my outside lights at sunset and then turns them off at 2am. I'm having a problem finding an On / Off command. I think I set up the scheduler correctly (found it in a different post) and am choosing the Action button, but when I add the driveway light my only available actions are:

Decrease

Gotovalue

Increase

Setvalue

Startchangedown

Startchangeup

Stopchange

Isn't there something to turn on the light at a certain percentage of it's value, or do I just use the Setvalule command? How will I tell them to turn off at 2am?

Also, is there a manual around here that explains what the other actions mean like Startchangeup and Stopchange?

I would also like to set something up where if the On button on a particular light is pressed between a particular time range that the light only goes to a specific power setting. For example, if I hit the switch in the bathroom between 6am & 9am, the light only goes to 40%, but if it's any other time during the day it comes on at 100%. How would I do that?

What kind of modules are you using ?

By modules, do you mean the dimmers themselves? If so, they are the Evolve LRM-AS dimmer switches.

setvalue = xx (with xx as desired intensity) may do the job.

To turnoff you have to set value to 0.

Thanks Carlo. I assumed that would work, but thought there might be a cleaner solution. As for setting the value to 0, how would I incorporate that into the existing rule to turn them off at 2am?

The easiest way is to create two distinct rules, the first o e that turn on the lights at sunset and the second one that turn lights off at 2 am.

Thanks for your help. I have the rule created, but it apparently doesn't work properly. None of the programmed lights turned on at sunset. I posted a screenshot of the rule above.

Hi Nathan, not sure if it will change anything, but i use the gotovalue instead. Also try 99 instead of 100.

Note to people. Once you post, refresh your page. Other wise your get multiple posts.

The rule magically started working the following day. It might have had something to do with the Weather section not being populated? Perhaps the system didn't know the correct time for sunset?
