Car parking sensor

Under Consideration

I am planning on making a sensor to tell if there is a car parked outside the house, and preferably, if it is mine.

I'm looking for ideas on how to do this. As I have some experience with Arduino, I was thinking that a an Arduino with proximity sensor (ultra sound or infra red) connected to the analogue input on a Fibaro RGBw sensor might work, for reporting distance. To recognise my car, I could also add bluetooth to the Arduino board and check the name of the broadcasted bluetooth name. I think :)

Have anybody done something similar or have any other ideas on how to achieve this?

I just found a thread on this forum where serveral people are having trouble getting analog readings from the Fibare RGBw. That might be a problem... : https://community.zipato.com/topic/rgbw-configuration-to-have-inputs

Are there any other z-wave sensors with anaolog in?
