Carbon monoxide detector ?
Need Answer
Hello!
I'm new here, last week bought a Zipabox.
Is there a carbon monoxide detector which is compatible with the Zipabox?

The Nest Protect.
The Nest Protect.
Good answer. I like that.Probably I should get one of these (as Im selling them anyway). HeroS, is it any good? I'm selling the french version but apparently the english is not in there as standard. you need to reset and set something in order for the protect to start speaking in english. Do you have any idea?

I live in Germany.
What model is it?
@HeroS:? We have an open fireplace, so i think it`s elementary to protect my family.

There are also Z-wave CO-sensors out there.

Or - if you are handy, wish you were an electronics engineer, and trust cheap china-ware, you can problably tap onto this with a cheap door sensor or a Fibaro universal sensor: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2014-High-Sensitive-Professional-Carbon-Monoxide-Detector-Gas-Sensor-CO-Detector-Alarm-for-Home-Security-Safety/32237147957.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.1.FYArNK&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_1_79_78_77_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_9
Or if you are an electronics engineer or very interested in doing things the hard way, you could make your own Arduino sensor hooked up to a door or Fibaro universal sensor: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/MQ-9-Carbon-Monoxide-CO-Alarm-Combustible-Gas-Sensor-Module-Better-US53-Hot/32245605784.html
Two years ago I would have gone down the Arduino path just for the fun of it, but now I have become lazy and value my spare time, so I would probably go for the Nest or the Vision solution :)

I`am looking for a complete CO-Alarm. I take a look to the Vision product.

the vision is the same as the zipato smoke detector http://www.zipato.com/default.aspx?id=24&pid=103&page=1&grupe= Works well. But the Nest is a lot more advanced.
Hey Hero, can you use the motion detector in the Nest Protect within Zipabox rules?

I don`t know that the"Nest Protect" is a product. So I misunderstand HeroS Comment ;-))
I will take a look to "Nest Protect"
