I have created a rule to test value of "TodaysCondition" of the WU service in an IfTTT recipe.

The file name uploaded in my Drive is "Mostly Cloudy", "Partly Cloudy" or "Sunny" but the value sent in my virtual meter device of my ZIPABOX is always 0.

Someone has an idea to get a value number corresponding to the Cloud Cover in my Virtual meter or can tell me what is wrong in my code?

I suppose the "TodaysCondition" is a string value but I have not find a numeric value for this parameter.

Hi Micheal,

I have done something similar a week ago. I have used the WU + Maker channel in ifitt + a virtual meter in zipato. Basically there are 3 IF rules in Ifttt, one for sunny, one for cloud and one for rain (never snow here). All of them send via the maker channel a link to the zipato virtual meter with 1, 2 or 3 based on the weather condition. So you know that if the virtual meter is 1 outside is sunny, and so on, and you can use these values in your zipato rules.

It is a lit bit long, but I had to use this because the virtual weather station in zipato seems to not properly catch the PrecipMM value in rules (it is showed correctly in the webUI, like "15mm", but when tested via rule it is reported always as 0).

Hi,

The same for me.

The IFTTT request I have written based on WU ans Google Drive reports always 0 for the cloud cover. By the way, did you try the ICON parameters?

Could you please send me the link to your requests or how you wrote them?

Thanks in advance.

BR

Miche!
