Configuration problems - Fibaro RGBW controller as switch
Hi all.
Maybe someone here can help. I got a Fibaro RGBW controller and want to use it as a 12v switch.
The controller installs fine, but as an RGBW controlling device. But I have no luck in reconfiguring it to act as a switch on the 4 outgoing 12v/RGBW channels.
Supposedly you shoud be able to configure paramter 14 as 39321 (HEX 9999) and all 4 OUTS should work as individual 12V outgoing switch on/off outputs. But the Fibaro won´t accept 39321 as a valid number and several other fields just reconfigure them selves to -1 values, like ON/OFF in the top etc.
But I simply can´t get them to send out any 12v current - and in the Zipato interface they act as levels, even though I changed them to onOff switches.
Anyone who have a Fibaro RGBW comntroller working as switvhes on one or all four OUTs? please provide a printscreen of your setup and have a look at mine attached....
I´m getting really annoyed and also think its strange that some of these major brand devices like Fibaro are not thoroughly tested beyond if they can be included or not and no check of conf or relevant interface/setup has been conducted by Zipato.
Please help - these things are not cheap and should work out-of-thebox.
Hello
I use a RGBW controller to switch 3 relay.
On white output I had problems. If I turn the white switch the other three channels are switched to.
I think that is related to the color temperature.
For the other three channels I use a virtual switch and a small rule.
regards Maik

thanks for screens - really helpfull.
But still doesn´t work - seems like I can´t set MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS above value 126 and MINIMUM DIM stays at 2 no matter what I type in the field or try to set independantly with a param field.
So I cant set anything to 255 which means I am getting only aproxx 6v
There is some current comming out ( aproxx 6v) when i set the 100% but it is far from 12v
Very strange.

I have the same problem. Cannot set maximum brightness higher than 125. If I set it to -1 it seems like the maximum brightness is working. But then when I switch off the RGBW 9with a switch before the transformer and leave it off for a while, turning on the switch the RGBW seems like dead, the light does not come back.

Hi Attila, I have the same problem. Did you manage to fix it? Please let me know.

Typical fibaro rgba problem. You cannot cut electricity as it "dies". My only aorkaround.is that the fibaro is constantly powered.
