Current status of one way protocol devices?

Hi,
I have a bunch of nexa devices connected to the zipabox and i'm trying figure out how the zipabox do when it tries to keep track of current status (e.g. on/off or dimlevel). Is it some kind of activation/deactivation counter? If i create the following sequence off-> on -> off -> off -> on it will be indicated as off in the Control center.
