How acknoledge the alarm ?
I tried to reset the box, etc but nothing always SMOKE detected.
Is anyone have the same problem ?

Real-time notifications may not work
I have had the same issue and if I remeber rigth I solved it by choosing the green menu from below instructions
XIII. LED VISUAL INDICATORS AND SETTINGS
The Fibaro Smoke Sensor is equipped with a LED diode for indicating, signaling
sensor’s operating modes and alarms. In addition the LED indicator may inform of
the Z-Wave network range and the current temperature.
LED indicator signaling modes:
1) Fire alarm is signaled by blinking in red.
2) Tamper alarm is signaled with a short blink in red.
3) Malfunction alarm is signaled by blinking in red.
4) Z-Wave network range alarm is signaled by blinking in pink.
5) Low battery alarm is signaled by blinking in yellow.
6) MENU levels are signaled with glowing in certain colour.
To enter MENU, press and hold the B-button for 3 seconds.
Once the LED glows white, release the B-button. LED will then start changing
colours in sequence. Each colour means different MENU level. Press the B-button
briefly to confirm choice. Transitions between the MENU levels will be signaled
with a short beep as well.
LED colours will change in the following sequence:
WHITE - entering MENU + self test
GREEN - refresh alarm state for the associated devices
PINK - Z-Wave communication test.
YELLOW - sensor reset.

Thanks for your answer. But even after entering MENU and reset sensor always the same.
I deleted the device and re-associate it. Works for now.
I will try to thest again the alarm and see if the state will change after no smoke.

I have the same issue. 2 things are not working with the Fibaro Smoke sensor :
1) When device state triggers a "smoke" status , it never goes back to "no smoke" - same issue as the ne you describe. The process from Patrick does not work for me, I have to remove the device and re-install it to have the status been reset by the zipato box. .
2) Zwave range test always fails - even if the device is less than 5 meters away from the zipato box.

I got the same problem. Also drains my battery rather quickly.
Feels like the zipabox pulls missinterprets the signal and pulls status more frequently than with other devices.
Drained two batteries within a few month.

Here is my status from yesterday:
1. remove the device from Zipato
2. reset the device (smoke sensor)
3. add device to zipato
4. hold the B button for approx. 10s , self-test
5. check log state

Hello guys,
you need to perform a test procedure in order for it to work properly.
Please hold the B-button on Fibaro FGSS-001 smoke sensor for about 5-6 seconds, you should get a very loud and long beep. This is a test procedure for Fibaro smoke sensor in order for it to work properly.

My sensor has the last 4 days a lot of false triggers. Self test and range test are ok.
Some settings changed? Other people have the same issue?

Hello Hrvoje, we are talking about a smoke sensor. movement is not applied here.
but also, if it had to do with it, no movement can occur there.

Edit: after upgrading the firmware to *.8 my smoke detector also gets stuck in detecting smoke.
did a selftest, nothing wrong with the smoke detector.

you can fix this by triggering the test alarm.
press the button for ~10 seconds and wait for the beep.
After this it should be state 0

Still can't get it to reset to default state.
Has this testing the alarm worked for someone?

Hello I have similar issue, the only way I found is to remove the device from the zipato and than add the device again.
The procedure proposed by Michael (pressing the button for 10 seconds until it beeps) does not work.
This is somewhat annoying !
Note that a lot of features from the Fibaro smoke detector do not work with the zipato, for example : the network range test.
