Get external value to zipato

I have created a ping tester that I can connect to from Zipabox via a HTTP request. But how to i get the ping status back to my Zipabox?
I've looked at virtual sensors, but does that work anymore?
I like this idea

It wasn't the script part I was wondering about it was how to connect to my Zipabox :-)
I managed to get the activate/decativate URL:s from the old GUI. I have searched everywhere in the new GUI for them, are they even there?

Yup, they are still there, you just have to dig deep in the device manager...
