Heatit thermostats went crazy on dec 1st

Under Consideration

I have 3 Heatit floorheating thermostats. After working rock solid following programmed heating schedules for 5 months suddenly on dec 1st they all went beserk. Slowly increasing within an hour they all climbed from aproxx 17 degrees to aproxx 27 degrees. No explanation nor change of setting at that time.

Now when I put them back on program mode they shift to "until next setpoint" and star incresing their setpoint with 0.5 degrees every 7-10 seconds until they reach 27 degrees again.

They are all setup with virtual thermostats and weekly schedules.

It is 3 independant circuits, so I am expecting this is a software error. Either in Zipato or in the thermostats firmware.

Anyone else who have experienced similar behaviour?

I only have 1 heatit thermostat and don't see this issue.

It seems to be centeret around the virtual thermostats. If I delete the virtual thermostats it will stay on the temperature SETPOINT. creating new virtual thermostats and linking them to the heatit, makes it slowly rise again.

Could this be linked to the hysterisis feature? - it does seem to increase at aprox 0.5 degree at a time

I updated to FW 0.9.999.8K and am having the same issue now. Setpoint keeps going up.

please fix

I also have seen this behavior, but with a Danfoss thermostat. So at least it seems not to be thermostat related. I also assume a hysteresis/virtual thermostat problem.

I am using .8k firmware.

I have absolut the same issue as Stefan. I have also 3 Danfoss thermostats and all have the same problem.

I am also using 8k firmware.

please fix

That's the same for me, with 5 Danfoss thermostats and 8k firmware.

That's why I'm back to 8a firmware because it works.

Interestingly, this bug seems to be gone on my box. I am still on 8k beta, but as I have an open ticket for this issue, where Zipato Support has said "we have made some changes", I assume that they made the change only on my box and not in every 8k firmware.

Or, they updated the 8k firmware, furthermore called it 8k firmware and every user has to install the beta firmware again. For me, I went back to 8a and then flashed 8k again.

To be more precisely, I also excluded my Philips HUE during this troubleshooting, as IP devices seem to have problems with the box at the moment (this also was an advice of the support).

I made these steps all together, so I do not exactly know what was responsible for the .5 behavior. Haven't re-included the HUE device yet...

I am unable to ad HUE but I hope we will get new software soon. Both for iOS and box!

After disconnecting and reconnecting, I had it working Again and it has been running stable for the last month now. Didn´t set up input on virtual thermostat, but onlu output (setpoint) and thermometer. Also: I changed the weekly scheme a bit for each device, and maybe that did the trick. Uncertain, but it Works ok now. Have 7 Danfoss + 3 Heatit thermometers running.

annoying, unless Zipato confirms they made changes to .8K, I will be sticking to .8A

Same problem, thermostats are going crazy.

one is going down and up with 3-5 degres ( 17-21 degress, but setpoint is 20 )

Another is not going down below 20.5 but it is settet 19 degrees.

Does downgrade help???

I reinstalled firmware 0.9.999.8K, and the issue is still there....... setpoint went all the way to 40 degrees C.

I send a support request so hope it can be fixed as it is a bit hot.. :-)

problem has been fixed. These fixes are locally, so you need to contact support and ask them to fix it.

Or downgrade to 0.9.999.8A firmware.

Local as in box needs to be shipped or...?

no, it means they only fixed it on my box, and not the firmware in general.
