How to check if network is up?

Does anyone that is good at this http-stuff know how I can check from inside of a rule check if network is up/down?

Think that if I could try to access something on internet, and if it doesn't work, then network is down...

Someone have any solution for this?

I think it is possible with the http-puzzles... but how?

or if Zipato could add a system-device with a status event that handle this!
