How to use Zipato Remote Control on Rule Creator???

I got a Zipato Remote a few weeks ago, I didn't have time to play with it before and unfortunately my first attempts weren't succesfull. Looks like when you add the remote 8 control and 1 sensor devices are available to pick from the rule creator.

I created rules trying with all my lights without success, using "click" and "double click" without luck. First tried directly on WHEN block, then tried the attached approach (first trap with WHEN "any" and then IF). Hope someone knows the trick for this.

Try to "refresh all" before first if clause.

Hi Alberto, I have a remote long time ago. A while back it started to not work properly and I have problem ever since. This was when I had zipabox, and now with zipatile same problem. It is simply impossible to assign it as alarm. As to the rules the easiest rules should be enough (when button click, do something). no point to complicate it further.

I guess you should raise a ticket with support as well.

I had exactly the same problem with a cheap 433MHz remote. It doesn´t seem to work with only one rule. It sometimes worked, sometimes not.

I saved two rules instead (Rule 1: When click 1- Intensity 100, Rule 2 When doubleclick - Intensity 0)

That did the job. But I´m going to try the refresh tip as well.

Dear Alberto,

Our team tested this rule and we didn't notice any issue. In order to resolve this issue please restart your Zipato Z-wave remote to factory default settings*. Delete this device from device manager and include him again. Reattach this device again to your rules and make rule synchronization.

Please let us know, if the issue persists.

*RESET:Hold down the central key, then press the top-right key 4 times within 1.5 seconds and during 4th press, hold the key until LED lights up.After 3 seconds the LED will turn OFF, and after next 2 seconds, release the tamper key. If successful, the LED will light ON for second. Otherwise, the LED will flash once.

I tried the suggested procedure two times; resetting, excluding, including, adding a rule, configuring buttons for alarm arm/disarm without any luck.

I tried both in my zipabox and my zipatile, it didn't work on both. Please help.

Alberto, Pero is working on my raised ticket. I guess we both have same issues with the remotes...

I will. Yesterday I have removed, reset and reincluded the device just to be sure. It did not help. It seems like zipato is alltogether not accepting any key presses now.

Than I have included another remote (brand new) and the same issue persists.

Basically nothing can be used with the remote at the moment

I just want to share the fix with all the community, thanks to Pero and Mato for helping.

1. Remove device from network.

2. Reset device to factory settings. See procedure above or in the remote's manual.

3. Re-Add device to network.

4. Go to device settings and add custom parameter "Customer Function" as shown in the attached images.

5. Add custom parameter "Auto Battery Reports" as shown in the attached images.

6. Make sure you wake up the device so it takes configuration from the controller.

7. Add your rules again and test.

Dear Alberto,

The issue occurred because your Zipato Z-wave remote was in "AV CONTROL" mode. We are delighted to learn that our help was not only effective but also appreciated!

Best regards,

Pero
