Need Answer
Hello,
I just bought a IDlock with z-wave module. It was easy to include to the zipato but does anyone in the forum have experience of the Idlock and zipato? Except for locking/unlocking, is it possible to adding/removing keys and codes thrue zipato? Any other features you use?
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
Hi !
I got one, and as you said, it includes fine.
I don't use any extra functionality. Actually pretty useless to have a doorlock connected to zwave? Still, its fun right?
I tested setting a new code from the webinterface, could be nice to let someone in and then change the code. But since idlock only have one code, it could cause issues for the kids :-)

Hello,
I think there is some useful things with connecting the doorlock to the z-wava system. But I was surprised that Idlock just supported one code, as on the website they say "Create PIN-codes to you self, the children and other people..........or use keypads". Another bad thing is that you are not able to add/remove a keypad seperatly, you have to add them all in a sequence. It would have been nice to have the z-wave system sending a notice/mail when the children unlock the home from school. I guess I can write a rule that disarm the alarm and sends a notice/mail but than I can't see who is unlocking the door. :)

If you see the tags i think you can see who has come home, but who wants to use tags?
No, you cant see who unlocks the door since there's only one code. (wonder if they'll ever fix that?)....that's the next investment. Smart camera ... :)
I use Life360 on the phones to monitor precense, think its a pretty cool service. Integrates with IFTTT and via maker channel to zipabox.
Gives you all kind of fun scenarios to create rules on and with, :-). I have some scenes that is only run when wife is home alone...
Edit: All kind of random spelling errors.

Kan du använda låset till att larma och avlarma i zipaboxen om du har ett larm ?
och vad händer isåfall om du låser från insidan utan kod, då vill man inte larma på ?

I don't use the alarm functions in Zipabox, so I don't really know. There are however different events sent that might do the trick.
The bad thing, if using it to arm, is that you can't use the number one feature: auto lock after close.

I would also like to use the key pad of a door lock to control both the door lock and the alarm. ID Lock is one of the locks I am considering. Which events can you get from the door lock to create rules? As you say I would like to distiguish between manually locking when leaving the house and auto lock feature. Can you do that? Is there a "lock" "button" on the key pad, to trigger arming of the alarm, that you can use even if you have auto lock turned on? Other ideas? Or are there better locks for this purpose such as Danalock?
