Informations between zipabox and http device via local network, without internet

Hello, (I'm french, sorry for my english)
I need to receive informations and value from a device that I creat (with an arduino) which works with HTTP requests.
I don't want to use pushingbox or equivalent method (as http://my.zipato.com:8080/zipato-web/remoting/attribute/set?.....) because it uses internet. I prefere a local network method.
How can I push the zipabox for ask it to read information from my device ? How can the zipabox read a value with a local request ? Can we use the xml format ?
Idealy, I want to push the zipabox for read via a xml file and a local request HTTP a value. How can I do this ?
