Hi,

I wonder about Multiserver as an upgrade to my system but can´t find any detailed information, perhaps I missed it someware. Anyway, I just bought an Zipabox 2 as an upgrade from the first one and also have two Zipatiles. Can someone explain the functions in Multiserver? I wonder how it works in detail and a key thing for me is what I will see in the Web and what do I see thru Zipatiles after the upgrade. Will it be possible to control all over 100 units from each Zipatiles and web and how will this display in the phone app (android).

Hi,

Multiserver is used on v3 platform. It means you can use up to 5 servers (controllers) under one System. Each system requires 1 Master and with Multiserver license you can add up to 4 slaves into the system.

When you have one system with 5 servers, you can see all their devices at the same Dashboard (mobiel app) and use all of them in any virtual device (alarm, thermostat, rule, scene) since virtual server is related to the system.

Hi Dino,

Is the multiserver license a annual subscription or is it a one time buy?

It is one time fee.

Have a question about V3, is it only visible in a mobilphone or can you see the new dashboard in a browswer also?

Thank you Sebastian!

I guess I should have the license on the master (Zipabox 2)? Do you have a guide to follow?

How does it work? Can rules be stored in both master and slave? Can the slave control devices included in the master?

I have just confirmed my order of a Zipabox 2 system as an upgrade for my current Zipabox 1 configuration. 😀

@Hans It's only in the app. The webUI (except ruler generator) is dead and will not be developed further.

@Hans Web UI is going to be redesigned for v3 environment. Rule creator will stay, as well as some configuration options. However, for device pairing and control we will focus more on mobile APP in future.

@Dan Each System in v3 Zipato is having one Virtual box which is always sitting on Master server. If you change Master Server, Virtual box will automatically move to the new Master Server. Rules, virtual devices and licenses are all stored in that dynamic Virtual Server, thus they are assigned to System.

Thanks Sebastian, is this app available today? I can read in this forum that some has started with v3, Will all be available when you buy Multiserver as an upgrade? I have tried to look in your website but I don´t find anything about new app or v3 as I thought when Dino answered. Perhaps is there, but right now I´m confused.

v3 web app is available at my3.zipato.com, while the new mobile app is available at iOS and Android stores under the name "Zipato". We are not promoting v3 yet as it is still in beta.

Aha, I understand, I´ll look in to that. With Android stores you don´t mean Google I presume because it only have the old one.

Thank you @Sebastian,

I will get my Zipabox 2 controller today. Could you or somebody else give me your recommendations on how I should start up my transfer/utilisation of Zipabox 2 and Zipabox 1? For me it isn't a problem to have both controllers connected meanwhile the Zipabox 1 -> Zipabox 2 migration tool is ready for release by Zipato. Long term is to have everything transferred to the Zipabox 2 controller!

@Dan in your case, ZipaBox2 must be a Master since Zipabox1 can't be a Master server. Once you have Master/ Slave System configuration you can use all devices from ZipaBox1 in your System.

However, all virtual devices (including scenes and rules) must be re-created because all virtula devics are connected to Virtual server which is connected to System not to Master/ slave server anymore.

When I read an article on a terrific game like this, it's wonderful. If you 1001 games can understand that, it is really cleverly written. This is a fun game that makes us feel many different things.

You put something in front of them, that will receive all requests for your website and then forward them to one of the servers behind it. Tempo traveller in kochi

Thank you for providing information about the Multiserver feature on the v3 platform. It sounds like a useful feature for managing multiple servers/controllers wordle within a single system.
