Multisound siren - sounds only the emergency sound

Using firmware: 1.0.17

Recently added the multi-sound siren and configured a few simple rules which were working properly. One of which would sound the chime on certain events (see image for sample). Today, all it does it blast the emergency sound - for a long time (requiring manual stop).

If I select any of the sounds manually from device manager - same results, only the emergency sound.

It did work for a short time.

Also the icon in device manager has always shown a red X, like disabled - though it has always shown this icon, even when working properly.

Greetings,

Make sure that configuration option 7 (CUSTOMER_FUNCTION) is set to value 128.

Thank you for the reply -

The following is what the device manager configuration shows, I have not changed this so it should be the default. Nor am I sure where to set/change this value. Under custom configuration? If so, what values for Param/Size?

Click on the "CUSTOMER_FUNCTION" label. You should then see SET/RETRIEVE controls. First press SET. Once it finishes press RETRIEVE. Check if the retrieved value is 128.

Thanks, it returns 16. How do I change it to 128?

I have the same issue. Like you, using the dedicated setting, I can only have 0 or 16. According to the user manual, Customer Function is parameter 7 and has a size of 1.

So I am going to try to set it by hand.

Thing is returned value is -128, not 128, but I guess it's the same (10000000 in binary).

Once done, I can check that customer function now returns that value

I'll have to wait tomorrow to share if that's successfull, as it's mignight and don't want to wake up the house ;)

Fix was unsuccessfull ;(. Will do the reset/join procedure again. What a nuisance, given the number of rules I have to fix.

Only way I found to resolve this was to do a factory reset. Considering the racket it makes when removing the back plate to access the tamper switch (which is used for reset) - I'm hoping there is another way to set/reset this value?

I got same issue, all sounds works for a while. Then after a restart of the Zipabox only the emergency sound works. Very annoying. Now i need to remove it from the Zipabox and add it again to get it to work again.

Greetings,

Please try to rejoin your siren. Configuration option 7 should be properly configured after you join the siren and there's no need to change it afterwards.

Trying to figure out why suddenly my siren got the issue (resolved through redoing the pairing) and it coincidentally happened after i had played with the siren from Imperihome. Just curious if people with issues are also using Imperihome
