Need Answer

HI bought zipato duo for two days ago, and have been fiddeling around with it and seen some videos on YouTube.

I was having some trouble connecting some nexa wallplugs, but when i did it on the old version it worked.

i actually have a couple of questions,

Im looking for outside temp sensot preferably a little cheap. I would like the sensor to be on a wire. Because one of them is to dig down to se how far the frost has gone down. 50$ or cheaper

I also wondering what camera i should go for (outside and inside)

Im thinking of low end cameras not very important with the night vision, price about 100$

Im also wondering if the pant tilt is working on zibato?

Im also wondering how to get the zibato to trigger by sunset and sunrise?

If someone also have link for some of this stuff would be Nice, i live in Norway so if there is any Norwegian shops would be nice

Does anyone have links for good films on zibato on YouTube or tourtorials?

Update your box to the latest version, beta to add Nexa 433mhz devices. Pan/tilt on camera does not work. Most IP cameras will work if you have the stream urls. I use 2x Foscam fi8918w. They do the job. There are rules and several guides for the sunrise/sundown function.

Naarz,

" Update your box to the latest version, beta to add Nexa 433mhz devices. " Does this also apply to the ZipaMini, can it generate the 433 mhz.

Why would you get a home automatisation system för about 250 euro if you need to save 5 euro on termometers? Just buy a few Fibaro motion sensors. It will be better spent money, you get z-wave, termostat, motionsensor, lightsensor and vibrationsensor all in one.

Wel mainly because i want to put them in the ground at some places to check how far down the frost goes in the ground, (water pipes) with heating inside, the one I linked to have anoyher version with temp sensor on a cable. And its not about saving 5 euro it saves 20+ euro each. And if i want this done 3places and also some places inside the wall with piping inside, We are talking about 100-150 euro. :-) and i (Just guessing) that the fibaro does note like temeratures below 0? But inside the cabbin i am going to use fibaro or something like that :-)

buy the fibaro binary sensor and add what ever cheap sensor you want to it. You can enclose it in a weatherproof case then also. Personally I would just run the sensor cable back to the binary sensor above ground.

Cameras, cheap, I would suggest the Foscam C1/2 for internal use. You pay a little more for outdoor ones, but most foscam are still pretty cheap and good.

Also I use a separate app for cameras anyway. Tinycam monitor pro is awesome

Sunrise rules, just do a search on the forum. You need to add a virtual weatherstation first, then use the scheduler in the sensor puzzle block. Astro has these settings.

Youtube, zipatv or just zipato.

Now i'm starting to feel like a mother. Seriously, youtube, how do i find videos on Zipato!!!!

Have seen the YouTube videos on the zipato tv channel, for a beginner like me i doesent say much what the rule actually do, or why you need to put the diffrent puzzles on there. but after looking at many videos i think i might get the hang of it.

You can use a fibaro universal binary sensor and connect up to four waterproof 1-wire temp sensors to it. Like done here: http://www.dreamgreenhouse.com/reviews/2012/fibaro_us/

If you are patient and want to save some money, you can buy cheap waterproof 1-wire sensors on dx.com http://m.dx.com/p/water-proof-ds18b20-temperature-probe-90cm-142889?936

You will need a 9-30v power supply as well.

Edit: Like Adrian allready has suggested (did not see that)
