Nodon Smart Plug: rule to trigger when fault power

Hi!.

I've got a Nodon Smart Plug. The main feature for me, it's power fault traps.

This device informs about a AC power down because include a small battery.

Well, I need a rule to trigger an alarm when fail AC power.

But I can't do it because cannot select an appropiate value of power_management variable. Only shows ON | OFF | TOOGLE

In Zipatile box shows AC MAIN DISCONNECTED in its device section screen.

When AC is ON again, send a new trap informs "AC Mains reconnected"

And write both events in device events log.

Then I need a rule triggered by this event: POWER_MANAGEMENT = "AC MAIN DISCONNECTED" or "AC MAIN DISCONNECTED" = true (or similar ;)

And other rule inverse (when AC goes ON).

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Paco.

Paco,

Do you have a meter device for this NODON switch on your device browser? take a look and see if there is also a meter device on the rule creator device explorer, if you have it you just need to pick this device and use it in a rule using meter puzzle and the correct operands.

If you don't have this device open a ticket on zipato support, if you can see this status change in the device browser you should be able to use it in the rules.

Hi Alberto.

Really I've not a meter device. I've on/off type, and sensor type, but not meter. Attach a look for device explorer section and a puzzle with sensor and options deployed.

Well if you can see this information in the Zipatile already (AC disconnected) I guess it is only matter of an update to the descriptor. Open a ticket to Zipato Support, describe this issue and include the serial number of your device.

Before open this thread, I was opened a ticket, but Zipato Support has closed it, due "notification cluster could not be used in the rules."

I'm going to open a new ticket.

Thanks!

Same with me. So I tried an exclusion and then inclusion and impossible to include ...

It seems the power part cant be used in rules at all. Disaponting. Since its clearly reported to Zipabox, i can see the current power in devices. But there is no way to use it as a meter and trigger something when the power goes above or below specific number. This can be done with Fibaros Power meter.

The issue was fixed for me from support. And now I can use a trigger when main home power fail. My Zipatile (and other devices like router, minihub, and cameras, -security layer-) are connect to UPS, but the rule looks for other devices and send me push msg.

Thats great and also worrying. When theyget a bug reported and they can fix it. Why not change the way all future inclusions configure the device and save both Zipato and the customers some time.
