Recomended zwave smoke detector

Need Answer

Can anyone recommend a smoke detector that works with the zipabox?

Requirements:

- Must be able to chain multiple devices (so when one goes off, the rest also goes off).

- Must report battery status

- Must report which devices was triggered in event of smoke

- Good if possible to trigger as part of for example burglar alarm.

Look at Fibaro smoke sensor.

The chain has to be realised by rules. This is for all smoke detectors via z-wave.

I haven't tried any of these yet myself, but have the following on my short list (will most likely go with the Fibaro as per previous post:-

There is also consideration of Nest Protect, but I do not know if these are compatible with zipabox.

Fibaro smoke detectors look great and work well. As for chain events to trigger the alarms on the detector itself, I think this is done via the set puzzle with the other smoke detectors. Haven't tested this though.

I have the Nest Protect and am very happy with it. I shows up in Zipato but the functionality is not the same as a Z-wave detector. But I rather it. The glow of the LED ring triggered by its own motion detector for hallways is also good. And I prefer the voice warnings before the siren goes off. Can also differentiate between steam and smoke. Don't get me wrong the Fibaro is awesome. I also have a Zipato smoke detector but it is ugly, like the everspring one. Its the same as the Vision smoke detector.

Nest also shows the Co2 as OK or not OK. You can not create rules according to the Co2, led light, or motion sensor, but you can with the Smoke sensor. Hopefully it will get better integration in the future.
