RFID Keypad factory reset
Need Answer
After my z-wave controller broke I'm now facing a problem. I'm not able to include the Keypad to the new z-wave Controller. This is very bad because the Keypad is expensive and currently useless.
How can I reset the Zipato Keypad now (without the old controller)? Is there a hidden reset jumper or a key combination to do a factory reset?
Thank you very much

Marc,
I had the same problem. I pushed the wrong button and my z-wave controller was returned to factory defaults.
after a long search i found that any controller (even if the keypad is not included in the z-wave network) can send an exclude frame to all z-wave devices.
this worked for me:
- put the z-wave controller in exclude mode
- put the zipato keypad in exclude mode (hold tamper switch for 1 second)
this did not work the first time but after 5 attempts the device was back to factory default and could be included in the new z-wave network.
i hope it helps.

A small addition to my comment.
the exclude process with my second keypad took about 15 attempts. so keep trying
