Rules doesn't work

Jonas Eklundh shared this problem 7 years ago
Not a Problem

Firmware is 1.0.17

Syncing works without a warning.

Using the web interface or iOS app, I can control my devices without a problem.

Currently I have only two rules, when the sun goes down, the outside lights (fasadbelysning) should be turned on. And when the comes up, they should be turned off. This doesn't work. I tried to change the scheduler to run at a specific time, didn't work either. I've used similar rules before to control the garden lights, but I wonder if something has changed? What am I doing wrong?

I'm already on 1.0.17, but I will try rebooting the box a couple of times...

Hello! No, I dragged out a new scheduler for each rule, so that can't be the problem...

I've also rebooted the box three times and still the schedules won't work. Now I've changed the schedules to a fixed time instead of a sunrise/sunset timer, still nothing....

Milan,

I have seen this comment before "make sure you don't copy a scheduler". I haven't found any way to copy any rule or whatever from Ine place to use in another place. Is this now possible?

Simply you have existing rule and you creating a new rule on one desktop. In order to save time, you take out the scheduler from the existing rule and place it in the new rule, then you hit save on the new rule once it is finished. Your existing rule will not change as you do not save it, however you saved your new rule with a scheduler from an existing rule.

Attila,

I just discovered that Zipato in the last few hours have released a brand new video explaining how to copy rules, where they also explain and warn about copying schedulers.

Mu schedulers are working fine. Today (as every weekday) my internet radio via the onkyo av receiver started at 6:30am due to the scheduler.

For 99,9% of users the rules are working properly, it's not a global issue and actually it's not an issue at all. Every case reported is specific but unfortunately most of them are caused by user mistakes. And since every case is unique and requires attention, please, everyone with rule issues - open up a ticket for us, the support team, and we'll investigate it and provide you with assistance to the best of our abilities.

Cheers,

V

Great idea! I don't know how to open up a ticket, however. I'll see if I can find out how!

I have the same issue since a few months back. Sunset and sunrise rules does not work anymore. Any solution too this? I have made completely new rules but and not copied anything but it does not help...

I had the same issue. I solve it by creating a new weather station. My old one was not updated any more. That cause a lot of my rules to stop working. I think it should run even if not updated.

Rember to remove the old one and check all your scheduler to see that you have the right sunrise/sunset.

Yes, this can be an issue. Not updating weather station.

I have tried to remove everything, "cleaned" my zipato afterwards. Made all rules completely from scratch. I have even made a new weather station with new settings and new location. I removed all the rules, updated the zipato, and made new rules. No change - they still do not work. I can switch them on and off manually from the control panel in my.zipato.com but for some reason the rules do not work...

Can you post your rule?
