Rules not syncing after update to 1.1.34

Hi, it seems that my rules have trouble syncing after updating zipatile to the latest firmware (I get the message Sync failed, check rules or contact technical support).

Or better... sometimes they randomly sync... sometimes not, without changing anything.

Disabling all the rules does not solve the problem.

Could this be related to the new firmware?

Yes, I'm noticing that synching is failing much more frequently now.

From my side, it seems that the problem is solved now. Every sync is smooth.

I've done nothing to solve the issue, so I think you only have to wait for a little...

I've just successfully synced your boxes, there shouldn't be an issue with the sync at the moment.

If you guys notice anything odd, please let us know!

OK. It's not a huge problem, but I've noticed that you sometimes have to try 2-3 times for it to synch. I just tried it now though and it worked first time.

It happened to me one time, tried again and then worked.

Happen to me yesterday. Unreachable devices after Firmwareupdate. Follow the Workaround, resetted box, firmwareupgrade again, synchronize - rules stopped working!!


Synchronized a second time - nothing changed. I'm a little bit upset now and will open a ticket an hope for a solution.

Its all due to your box not syncing properly. Dont worry your installation will be up and running in no time. Just open up a support ticket with the box serial number and we'll help you out in no time. Please keep in mind that if the sync doesnt work once out of 50 tries that doesnt mean we have a general issue on our hands...

Please do not do the hard reset, I've just now successfully synced your box and rules. Please open another ticket addressed to me and lets debug this issue together.

For me it works after a hard reset and firmware upgrade.

Yes, it's actually got worse. Last night I gave up trying to synch some changes after about 10 attempts (for a rule that was supposed to run this morning!). Now I'm trying to synch some more changes and it failed twice before finally working.

It just took me four or five attempts to synch some more changes. Getting quite annoying.

Your issue was related to the time-out period, as you have more than 170 devices and more than 170 rules. We have now increased the time out period, but this is certainly not a general problem.

I have the same problem...takes ages to sync or better it does not work at all...

I was just wandering if to update the firmware, so I checked the forum what are opinions on new firmware. He he, as I see Zipato still didn't hire software testers and tests software on production environment :)


And still "status page" for cloud services is unnecessary, because services are working fine. Good that I resisted that tempting idea to click "Update now" button.

Beta was tested since August, and it was available at my.zipato.com


There were few firmware issues with the thermostat after upgrade to 1.1.34, but now we are on 1.1.35.

Sebastian, i have a problem with the wait puzzle. Is does not seem to work. However this might not be related to the latest verion.

I have even tried to replace it with a new one, but sfill no good.

Any idea?

I also cannot sync rules with FW 1.1.35. Opend ticket.
