Run Rule Once

Need Answer

Hi,

Does anyone has an idea how to make this rule run only once a day?

Now the situation is not ideal > when this rule has turned on the lights and I turn off one of these lights, within a few minutes this rule turns on this switched off light again. Thanks in advance!

Robert,

I can partially see your rule but I think the problem is that the rule triggers several times due the "when" setup, maybe you are specifying an hour and minute and the rule triggers again if the time is the same. Please post the whole rule image. I can share my setup for the lights, with my setup the rule will only be active if there is motion and the luminosity is below 50 lux and the bulb is completely off.

A few ideas, to solve your issue, you could set a variable when the rule runs and check for it to be off before the activation of the light. Another idea is you could use a virtual switch to manually enable or disable the rule (to be active only when the switch is on) this way when you want to turn off the switch it wont turn again. If you have luminosity sensors I don't think there is need for the "time" condition, but that is just me.

I would use a virtual switch that would be turned on when the rule is executed the first time. The rule would naturally check if the switch is not already on. Then a second rule that runs at midnight to turn the swith off of the virtual switch.
